Ten Things To Know Before Having Your Car Repaired:

1.
You have the right to go to the repair shop of your choice. Your insurance company cannot require you to go to a particular shop.
2.
There is no law requiring you to obtain more than one estimate or appraisal.
3.
Let us help you negotiate your claim with the insurance company.
4.
Never drive a car that could be unsafe because of damages.
5.
Your Car is the second largest investment you're likely to make. Preserve its value and your safety by having it repaired professionally.
6.
Differences in repair estimates are common. A lower estimate may not include all necessary work. If you're not sure why one estimate is different from another you've received, please ask us.
7.
Choose a collision repair center that has unibody repair equipment and certified technicians.
8.
Ask if the repair center will be using genuine manufacturer (OEM) replacement parts.
9.
Ask if the repair center offers a repair warranty.
10.
Some insurance companies may want you to visit their drive-in claims center before having your car repaired. You can do this, or you may leave your car at the repair center and ask that the insurance company inspect the car there.

Your Check List:

You will need an accident report.
Contact your insurance agent (if you are at fault).
If you are not at fault, contact other party's insurance carrier (Need help? Call us!).
Contact your Collision Repair Shop (Get the help and answers you need). The Insurance company may tell you to use their shops; remember, you need someone you can trust to work for you and your safety.
Request a rental vehicle if your vehicle is not safe or driveable.
Please inspect Repair Shop for proper repair equipment.
Unibody Pulling System.
Laser measuring equipment is a must, with print out.
Proper Mig Welding Equipment.
Corrosion Protection.
Do not choose a shop with a paint warranty less than 5 years. (A lifetime warranty is preferred).
Have Faith and Trust in your Collision Repair Center.
Make sure the Collision Center provides I-Car trained employees or offers some form of education and training to their employees.
